TERMS OF SERVICE

The Service

StackUp is a multi-game Looking For Group (LFG) / stack-finder product. Features may include dating-style discovery, Looking / In Match status, LFG rooms with team codes, in-app chat, reports and appeals, Discord live boards, LFG sync with Discord server attribution, and desktop Rich Presence. Features may change as we ship updates.

StackUp is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Riot Games, Discord, Google, or any game publisher. Game names and marks belong to their respective owners.

Discord bot & servers

Anyone may invite the public StackUp Discord bot to a server they manage, subject to Discord's rules and these Terms. Server admins control which optional features are enabled (for example Looking-for-player / Looking-for-team sync and live status boards). LFG posts created through a community bot may appear in the StackUp app attributed to that Discord server (name and icon at post time).

You are responsible for configuring channels and permissions appropriately. Removing the bot or disabling features stops new sync from that server; existing attributed posts may remain until they expire or are removed under our retention practices.

Eligibility & accounts

You must be old enough to use Discord (and Google, if you sign in with Google) under their terms, and able to form a binding contract where you live. Sign-in uses Discord and/or Google OAuth. You are responsible for activity under your account. Do not misrepresent rank, identity, Verified status, or other profile fields. Accounts are not automatically merged across providers — use the same sign-in method you registered with.

Acceptable use

You must follow our Community Guidelines, Discord's Terms and Community Guidelines, and applicable law. In short: no harassment, hate, scams, spam, account trading, or unauthorized bots/scraping; do not abuse Looking boards, rooms, or reports; do not attempt to access admin or other users' private data.

We may warn, restrict, ban, or remove content/accounts that violate these Terms or the Guidelines. Banned users may submit an appeal via the in-app appeal flow when available.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit (profiles, LFG posts, chat, reports). You grant StackUp a limited license to host, display, and process that content as needed to operate the Service — including showing Looking cards and rooms to other signed-in users, syncing Discord board embeds, and attributing LFG to a source Discord server when applicable. Do not post content you do not have the right to share.

Third-party services

The Service relies on Discord, Google (optional), Supabase hosting, and other infrastructure. Their terms and privacy policies also apply. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or how those platforms handle data once you leave StackUp.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee match quality, teammate behavior, availability, or that LFG posts will reach a particular audience. Open-source components are also offered under their respective licenses (including the MIT License for this project).

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StackUp and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes may also be noted in the app or README when practical.
