COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
Last updated: July 18, 2026
StackUp is for finding teammates — not for drama. These Guidelines apply to the web app, desktop client, Discord bot boards, LFG posts, and chat. Violations can lead to content removal, feature locks, or bans. They sit alongside our Terms and Discord's own rules.
Be a decent teammate
- Treat people with respect in Looking, rooms, DMs, and Discord boards
- Keep LFG posts honest — rank, roles, and availability should match reality
- Accept Pass / Reject gracefully; do not harass someone who declined a match or room request
Not allowed
- Harassment, hate, threats, doxxing, sexual content involving minors, or anything illegal
- Scams, phishing, malware links, or account / item trading schemes
- Spam Looking sessions, fake rooms, report abuse, or mass friend requests
- Impersonation of StackUp staff, Verified players, or other users
- Bots, scrapers, or automation that hit the API or Discord bot without permission
- Attempting to bypass bans, Hide Discord, or access ops/admin tools
Discord communities
Server admins who add the StackUp bot are responsible for their channels and for enabling only the features their community wants (LFG sync, live boards, etc.). Do not use boards to advertise scams or harassment. Posts synced to the StackUp app may show your server's name and icon — keep that attribution accurate and appropriate.
Reports, bans & appeals
Use in-app reporting for safety issues. Moderators may review room / match chat and account context. Friend DMs are end-to-end encrypted — report with enough detail for us to act without needing plaintext. If you are banned, you can submit an appeal through the appeal page when available. False or retaliatory reports can themselves lead to action.
Enforcement
We may warn, mute features, remove content, ban accounts, or disable a guild's bot features. Actions are at our discretion based on severity and history. Serious Discord-policy violations may also be reported to Discord.
